On March 15, Mr. EJ Mac Ewan, General Director of PARKROYAL Saigon Hotel confirmed the firing of two chefs who made rude comments about the music group Super Junior.

Previously, Super Junior went to Ho Chi Minh City to perform a concert and stayed at the PARKROYAL Saigon Hotel. However, after Super Junior finished their schedule and returned to Korea, two chefs who were said to work at the hotel wrote a controversial article about the group.

One of the two people posted a photo of Super Junior performing at Military Zone 7 Stadium on the evening of March 11 and wrote: “So these guys ate the food I cooked.” The other chef in the incident commented: “These guys are a disgrace.” The post immediately sparked controversy on social media and angered Super Junior fans.

“We have just been informed that an employee posted negative content on his personal page regarding Super Junior members. This is clearly unprofessional and negative about the wonderful members of Super Junior that we had the pleasure of serving last week,” said EJ Mac Ewan.

“The employee was terminated immediately, as this action is completely contrary to the service standards, image and code of conduct that we always aim for all customers. Once again, I apologize for the impact this incident has had on Super Junior. This action absolutely does not represent the more than 200 employees of the hotel,” he emphasized.

Super Junior held a concert in Ho Chi Minh City on March 11 with the support of a large Vietnamese audience. They gave eye-catching and attractive performances. However, the concert also caused controversy over audience control. Nearly 30 minutes after the show started, hundreds of spectators were still waiting outside and were not allowed to enter the stadium. In addition, many spectators who bought tickets for the seating area did not have a seat and had to move to another area.

On March 12, a representative of the organizing committee (OC) of Super Junior's Super Show 9: Road said that they received feedback and comments from the audience after the show. The unit admitted the mistakes in the organization and hoped to receive sympathy from the audience.

"Immediately after the incident, we recognized and sought ways to resolve the problem. From the organizers' perspective, we accept responsibility. We apologize for making the audience experience an incomplete emotion before the show took place," said a representative of the Super Show 9: Road organizing committee.
