BHG - In the new team of soldiers of Regiment 877 this year, there is a name that makes many officers and comrades impressed every time it is mentioned: Private Giang Mi Sinh, a soldier of Platoon 2, Company 1, Battalion 1. Born in 2006 in Lung Phin commune, Dong Van district. His mother passed away in 2019, after finishing grade 9, Sinh stayed home to help his family, then when he came of age, he volunteered to join the army with all his determination and desire to train and contribute. However, his father passed away before the day he took the AK shooting test lesson 1 - an important training milestone for every new soldier.

The pain of losing his mother and then his father made Sinh quiet, reserved, and often hiding in group activities. Many people who did not know him thought he was shy and unapproachable. But deep in his eyes were the pains that had not yet subsided, the emptiness of a young soldier who no longer had family support. But with the will to strive to overcome everything, Giang Mi Sinh diligently trained, not only completing the training content well, Sinh was also an example of will and spirit to rise up. For new soldiers, the "three explosions" training content of shooting AK guns, throwing grenades and using explosives is always considered the most important challenge. This is not only content that requires technique and physical strength, but also a test of the soldier's will and mettle. Sinh was not afraid of difficulties and hardships, taking advantage of his time to practice more every day. Every movement of loading bullets, throwing grenades, and setting explosives was performed with concentration and meticulousness. From being confused and lacking confidence, Sinh has risen to complete all three contents well, achieving good results in the test. Now, Sinh has become stronger and more resilient both physically and mentally. Each marching step, each loud command is a testament to the young man's daily maturity.
When asked about his early days in the army, Giang Mi Sinh's eyes shone with determination mixed with a bit of silence: "The first days were very difficult for me. Everything was new, I was not used to collective activities, and I missed my father and mother... There were times when I wanted to ask to go home. But then the officers encouraged me, my friends were always there, guiding me little by little. Now I feel like this is my second home. I will try harder to not let everyone down and to make my parents feel secure far away..." That simple sharing may not be long or elaborate, but it made many people silent. Because behind those simple words is a filial heart, a quiet determination, and above all, the beautiful image of a young soldier firmly walking on the path of dedication to the Fatherland.
Lieutenant Nguyen Duy Thang, Platoon Leader of Platoon 2, Company 1, Battalion 1, shared: “When we first received soldier Giang Mi Sinh, we knew he had a particularly difficult situation. When his father passed away, the unit proactively contacted him to encourage and share. The officers and soldiers always tried to create a close environment, helping him feel that he was not alone. During breaks, we often sat and talked, giving him more instructions on techniques, manners, etc. Day by day, Sinh gradually became more open, confident, and made rapid progress in training. Especially his spirit of diligence, perseverance, and always trying to surpass himself.”
Captain Nguyen Van Ba, Captain of Company 1, Battalion 1, Regiment 877, said: “Comrade Giang Mi Sinh is one of the soldiers with the most special circumstances in the unit this year. But it is this difficult situation that has made him mature very quickly, live with great emotions and always show a progressive spirit in studying and training. Although he is quiet and reserved, he is a good listener, always accepting the opinions of his officers, actively training both physically and in military style. We appreciate his outstanding efforts, and believe that Comrade Sinh will go far, worthy of being a role model for other soldiers to follow.”
The road ahead for soldier Giang Mi Sinh certainly has many challenges, but overcoming pain and adversity, he is gradually affirming the qualities of a soldier of Uncle Ho, resilient, determined and responsible. The first months of his military service were not only a physical training for him but also a journey to regain faith, cultivate ideals and nurture the desire to live a useful life, to live for the Fatherland and for the People.
