The Border Guard of Gia Lai province donated 100 million VND to support the people of Cuba.

(GLO) - On the morning of September 4th, the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command launched a program to support the Cuban people facing difficulties, themed "65 Years of Vietnam-Cuba Friendship".

Cuba was a pioneering country in establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam and has always been at the forefront of the international movement supporting Vietnam's national liberation struggle and nation-building efforts.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, emphasized: The Vietnam-Cuba relationship is a special friendship, a symbol of solidarity between two nations sharing the ideals of independence, freedom, and socialism.

In the current context, when the Cuban people are facing many difficulties due to the economic crisis and the severe impact of natural disasters, this support program is a practical action, demonstrating the deep compassion and responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard.

At the event, officers and soldiers from agencies and units under the Provincial Border Guard Command voluntarily contributed 100 million VND.
