
The analysis of the distribution of scores in the 2023 high school graduation exam in Mathematics shows that: Nationwide, 1,003,372 candidates took the Mathematics exam, with the average score being 6.25 points, the median score being 6.6 points; the score with the most candidates achieving 7.6 points. The number of candidates achieving scores below average was 217,093 (accounting for 21.64%). Nationwide, 12 candidates achieved a score of 10 in Mathematics.

There were 1,008,239 candidates taking the Literature exam, with an average score of 6.86 points, a median score of 7 points; the score with the most candidates was 7 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 73,622 (accounting for 7.3%). The whole country had only one candidate scoring 10 points in Literature; 443 candidates scored 9.75 points in Literature.

There were 327,188 candidates taking the Physics exam, with the average score being 6.57 points, the median score being 6.75 points; the score with the most candidates being 7.5 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 48,379 (accounting for 14.79%). Nationwide, 70 candidates scored 10 points in Physics.

There were 328,117 candidates taking the Chemistry exam, with an average score of 6.74 points, a median score of 7 points; the score with the most candidates was 7.5 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 38,375 (accounting for 11.7%). Nationwide, 137 candidates scored 10 points in Chemistry.
There were 324,625 candidates taking the Biology exam, with the average score being 6.39 points, the median score being 6.5 points; the score with the most candidates being 6.5 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 33,754 (accounting for 10.4%). Nationwide, 135 candidates scored 10 points in Biology.

There were 683,447 candidates taking the History exam, with an average score of 6.03 points, a median score of 6 points; the score with the most candidates was 5.75 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 170,237 (accounting for 24.91%). Nationwide, 789 candidates scored 10 points in History.

There were 682,134 candidates taking the Geography exam, with an average score of 6.15 points, a median score of 6.25 points; the score with the most candidates was 6.25 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 91,073 (accounting for 13.35%). Nationwide, 35 candidates scored 10 points in Geography.
565,452 candidates took the CivicEducation exam, with an average score of 8.29 points, a median score of 8.5 points; the score with the most candidates was 9 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 5,492 (accounting for 0.97%). Nationwide, 14,693 candidates scored 10 points in this subject.
There were 876,102 candidates taking the English exam, with an average score of 5.45 points, a median score of 5.2 points; the score with the most candidates was 4.2 points. The number of candidates scoring below average was 392,784 (accounting for 44.83%). Nationwide, 494 candidates scored 10 points in English.
After knowing the exam results, based on their exam scores and score distribution, information on quotas and benchmark scores of previous years of the schools, candidates can have a clearer picture of their ability to pass with their admission wishes using the high school graduation exam results, from which candidates can adjust their university admission wishes accordingly. The adjustment period is until 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2023.
