On the morning of July 22, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the input quality assurance threshold for university and college teacher training majors in 2025.
Accordingly, the threshold to ensure input quality from high school graduation exam scores for admission to majors in the group of majors for university and college teacher training in 2025 for candidates in region 3 has the minimum score (without coefficient) of all combinations of 3 exams/subjects, excluding bonus points, regardless of the exam results of candidates studying the 2006 and 2018 programs as follows:
The threshold to ensure input quality for majors in the group of majors training university-level teachers is 19 points;
For Physical Education, Music Pedagogy and Fine Arts Pedagogy, the minimum score is 18 points for the combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other combination of admissions are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
The threshold to ensure input quality for the college-level preschool education program is 16.5 points for the admission combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other admission combinations are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
For many years, the Ministry of Education and Training has had its own regulations on admission to the education sector. Teacher training schools that use the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores are not allowed to set admission scores lower than the above levels. This is to ensure student quality and avoid the situation where some schools only set very low scores for admission.
