Command 86 and Navy sign coordination regulations

On the afternoon of April 22, Command 86 and the Navy held a conference to sign a coordination regulation between the two units in exchanging and providing information, documents, means, and supporting cyber warfare operations, digital transformation, and naval force activities.

Colonel Nguyen Van Bach, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Navy and Colonel Nguyen Tien Giang , Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Command 86 co-chaired the conference.

In recent times, Command 86 and the Navy have actively and proactively coordinated in exchanging and providing information to support the professional activities of the two units. In particular, Command 86 has closely coordinated with relevant agencies and functional units inside and outside the Army to promptly coordinate to prevent and effectively handle information, objects and targets of sabotage in cyberspace.

Every year, Command 86 organizes specialized training and digital transformation work for leaders, commanders, officers and employees of units throughout the army, including the Navy.

To further promote the results achieved in the coordination of tasks between the two units, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, Command 86 and the Navy determined the content of exchanging necessary information, documents, and data related to the functions and tasks of each side, specifically: Information and data on plots, tricks, and activities of forces violating national sovereignty at sea and in cyberspace to carry out the tasks of both sides, especially in information combat and handling situations in cyberspace.

The Navy exchanges and provides data information (after processing and synthesizing reports to the Ministry of National Defense ) related to assigned functions and tasks through the technical system from the Ministry of National Defense Command.

Command 86 exchanges and provides the Navy with information on the activities of hostile, reactionary, and opposing forces that take advantage of cyberspace to propagate, incite, and gather protests related to the sovereignty of seas and islands and the activities of the Navy; information to support investigation and response activities for computer and computer network incidents and data from safety monitoring systems managed and exploited by Command 86.

The two sides will support each other in implementing technical and technological solutions in sharing information and data through information technology systems to serve the work activities of each side.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Tien Giang emphasized: “The conference to sign the Coordination Regulations between Command 86 and the Navy is an important milestone, a basis for both sides to continue to promote all resources and potentials in performing assigned political tasks, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty in cyberspace, protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights, and national jurisdiction in Vietnam's sea areas, together with agencies and units of the entire army to successfully complete tasks in the new situation".
