Ministry of Health continues to investigate the factory that produces for the company of Doan Di Bang's husband.

Specifically, the Department has received a quick report on the results of the inspection and handling of the suspension of circulation, recall, and destruction of cosmetics violating the regulations for cosmetic products that VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited is responsible for bringing to the market, and EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company is responsible for producing.

Based on this content, the Department requested the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health to request EBC Dong Nai to report and clarify the contents related to the two recalled products, Hanayuki Shampoo and Hanayuki Sunscreen Body.

A batch of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products was recalled because the tested sun protection index only reached SPF: 2.4, while the label said SPF 50 (Photo: CT).

In particular, the Department requested the company to clarify information about production materials, input quality control (whether 2-Phenoxyethanol was tested or not), quantity of products produced...

For Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products, the company provides additional information such as research and development records, especially on testing the sun protection factor (SPF) of the products, along with test results (if any).

The Department requests the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health to base on the inspection results and reports of Dong Nai EBC to handle violations according to current regulations; transfer the case file to law enforcement agencies for handling in case of criminal violations, production and trading of fake cosmetics.

Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc has just signed an urgent document on inspecting and strictly handling organizations and individuals involved in the production, business, advertising, and sale of poor quality food.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Police, and relevant units to inspect the compliance with legal regulations on cosmetics management in the production, business, advertising, and sale of fake and poor-quality cosmetics and strictly handle EBC Dong Nai according to the law.

VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited is the legal entity behind the Hanayuki cosmetics brand. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, husband of singer Doan Di Bang, is the legal representative and General Director of the company.

Previously, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) consecutively issued two decisions to suspend circulation, recall and destroy two batches of products including Hanayuki Shampoo (300g bottle) and Hanayuki Sunscreen Body product (box of 1 tube of 100g).

The test results of the shampoo sample violated the microbial limits and contained 2-Phenoxyethanol, an ingredient not included in the registered formula. The test results of the remaining product showed that the sun protection factor on the label (SPF 50) did not match the test results of the sun protection factor of the sample (SPF: 2.4).
