Ministry of Health intervenes, requests assessment of 4-year-old child abused by teacher

Bo De Ward Police have received a case of a 4-year-old child suspected of being abused by a teacher at a kindergarten and are coordinating with a medical facility to request an assessment.

The Department of Mothers and Children ( Ministry of Health ) has just issued a quick report on the suspected child abuse case at Gia Thuy Kindergarten (Bo De Ward, Hanoi). Accordingly, immediately after receiving information provided by parents via the National Child Protection Hotline 111, this unit contacted the Social Work Center and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund to request verification of the incident, and at the same time implement measures to ensure safety and support and intervention for children.

Currently, the school has suspended two teachers to assist in the investigation. The ward police have also received and coordinated with the medical facility to request an assessment and verify the case. In addition, the ward police have also prepared a file in coordination with the PC 09 Department of the People's Procuracy of Region 5.

The Department of Mothers and Children (Call Center 111) has instructed local officials to coordinate with relevant agencies to continue monitoring and providing support and intervention according to regulations. The Department said it will continue to monitor information about the case to promptly direct and guide support and intervention for child victims and handle the case according to the law.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, on July 5, the parent of a 4-year-old girl studying at Gia Thuy Kindergarten (Bo De Ward, Hanoi ) accused the teacher of beating her child, throwing her against the wall, punching and kicking her, and dragging her toward the classroom door. In addition, the teacher also grabbed another child's leg, turned her upside down, and threw her onto the bed.

In the evening, when bathing the child, the family discovered many bruises on the child's body, so they reported it to the school and took the child to the National Children's Hospital for examination and health check.

Upon receiving the information, the Board of Directors of Gia Thuy Kindergarten asked the teacher involved to write a report, a self-criticism, and temporarily suspend her from teaching to verify the incident.

The father was devastated when he saw the clip of his child being brutally abused, not just 1-2 times . When asking the school to show the clip, Mr. Thanh Tung's family was shocked to see that his child was beaten by the teacher, not just 1-2 times as the teacher admitted.
