Fostering knowledge and skills in serving tourists in the community in Buon Don

From June 5 to 8, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Buon Don district and Saigon Tourism College organized a training course on knowledge and skills in serving tourists, for individuals and households participating in providing tourism services and homestay services in Tri village, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district.

Participating in the training course are households (more than 20 students) located in Tri village, selected to invest in projects and support the development of ways to create tourism development products according to local traditions, according to Resolution No. 08/2021/NQ-HDND dated August 13, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council on supporting the development of community tourism in ethnic minority villages and hamlets in Dak Lak province, period 2021 - 2025 (Resolution 08).

Trainees will be taught knowledge and skills about tourism in general and community tourism in particular; how to organize a good community tourism model, along with communication skills and tourist service procedures..., including a day of fieldwork at Ako Dhong village (Buon Ma Thuot city), the first community tourism village in the province. From there, students can apply it to the actual process of implementing, building and managing community tourism in the locality in the coming time.

In 2023, in addition to Tri village (Krong Na commune, Buon Don district), Kuop village (Dray Sap commune, Krong Ana district) will also be supported to develop community tourism according to Resolution 08.
