Bu Dang: Implementing projects in 15 ethnic minority communes

Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded certificates of merit by the District People's Committee.

Bu Dang district has 94 ethnic minority villages, of which 6 are extremely disadvantaged. Implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas Phase I, from 2021-2025, Bu Dang district has implemented projects in 15 communes in the Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas.

The total capital for implementation in 2022-2023 is 55,942 billion VND, investing in 11 traffic works; 2 power grid works, 2 people's bridges, 1 centralized clean water supply work; supporting infrastructure investment for 1 concentrated residential area. In 2023-2024, supporting residential land, housing, domestic water, and job conversion for 552 poor ethnic minority households with a total budget of nearly 43 billion VND.

The invested projects have contributed to improving the infrastructure for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Project 6 has been effectively implemented with many festivals being recreated and restored, intangible cultural heritage being preserved and promoted. Through national target programs, many kitchens and sanitation facilities for schools have been invested in and built.

Project 6 of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas contributes to recreating and restoring many festivals and intangible cultural heritages that are preserved and promoted.

The national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2025 period has changed the face of rural areas in Bu Dang, the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities has gradually improved, contributing to the development of local socio-economy and strengthening the great national unity bloc.

On this occasion, 3 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period were awarded certificates of merit by the District People's Committee.
