On September 9th in Hanoi, the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Asset Association (VBA), in collaboration with 1Matrix Company, officially launched the Blockchain Gallery and the 5th Satoshi statue in the world .
Ms. Nguyen Van Hien, Vice President and General Secretary of the VBA, who directly initiated and realized the idea of bringing the Satoshi statue to Vietnam, said that this is the 5th Satoshi statue in the world, a symbol of decentralized culture, technological spirit, and the aspiration for innovation.
Before Vietnam, Hungary, Switzerland, El Salvador, and Japan had already erected statues of Satoshi in various versions, as a recognition of the exceptional contributions of the "father" of Bitcoin to the global financial technology industry.
The Satoshi statue unveiled by the VBA is a "vanishing" version, designed by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi. The statue features a unique disappearing effect when the viewing angle shifts from side to front, much like how Satoshi Nakamoto completely vanished after building the Bitcoin network and empowering the global community. Valentina spent 21 months designing and testing this version to ensure the artwork fully conveys the decentralized spirit and culture of Bitcoin.

Previously, the Satoshi statue also had a faceless bronze version called "We are all Satoshi," designed by two young Hungarian sculptors, Réka Gergely and Tamás Gilly. In the bronze version, each visitor will see their own face reflected on it when standing in front of it, conveying the message that anyone can be Satoshi.
The Satoshi statue is located at the Blockchain Gallery, a place where technology meets art, where dry lines of code are elevated to emotion, and where the history of blockchain, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies is reinterpreted through a creative lens.
Here, the development of blockchain technology – from its early beginnings to its global boom – is recounted through paintings combining oil paint and AI technology, conceived, created, and executed over several months by young artists from the VBA.
"Blockchain Gallery is proof that blockchain is not just a technology, but also a culture, contributing to shaping values in real life. With Blockchain Gallery, for the first time in Vietnam, the public can step into an exhibition dedicated to blockchain technology and digital assets, to directly experience and share the innovative spirit of the 4.0 era," Ms. Hien shared.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of VBA and Chairman of 1Matrix, announced that the Satoshi statue and the first Blockchain Gallery in Vietnam will be located at the 1Matrix Company headquarters (Times City urban area, Hanoi) and will be open to the public every Saturday.
"To fully capture the special significance of the Satoshi statue's disappearance, we chose a location facing a vast open space, backed by the Red River, with the hope that the development of cryptocurrency in Vietnam will always be a continuous flow, like a source nurturing the development of Vietnam's digital economy ," Mr. Trung emphasized.
According to Mr. Phan Duc Trung, VBA will continue to expand the Satoshi Statue and Blockchain Gallery model to create more cultural and technological spaces for the Web3 community across Vietnam.
"The story of Satoshi Nakamoto is an endless source of inspiration for the global blockchain community, and bringing the statue to Vietnam not only spreads the core values of blockchain – transparency, freedom, and security – but also connects technology with culture, bringing blockchain closer to the public. This is also a concrete step, gradually contributing to the implementation of the Politburo's policy in Resolution 57 on national innovation and digital transformation," Mr. Phan Duc Trung emphasized.
