On May 30, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that our province has been granted a grapefruit growing area code (MSVT) for export to the US market. Specifically, the approved MSVT is the grapefruit growing area code with the symbol PB.32.02.01.001 (Irads:27424), with an area of 23 hectares, located in Phuoc Binh commune (Bac Ai). This code is effective from June 22, 2023.

MSVT is an identification code for a growing area, used to monitor and control production, control product quality, and trace the origin of crop products. Building and establishing MSVT will be a "passport" for agricultural products to be exported through official channels. Currently, the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection has notified the representative of the growing area code to prepare for grapefruit export, and at the same time, monitor to ensure that the growing area always maintains compliance with the regulations of the importing country.
