Thien Long Ballpoint Pen (TLG) profit in the first 5 months of the year increased by 10%

Thien Long Group Corporation (TLG code) has just announced preliminary business results for the first 5 months of 2024. Of which, net revenue reached 1,430 billion VND, down slightly by 7% over the same period.

Notably, export revenue increased by 13% over the same period, reaching 469 billion VND, equivalent to 33% of total revenue. In contrast, the domestic market witnessed difficulties, revenue decreased by 14% to only 961 billion VND.

According to Thien Long's explanation, the reason is that the domestic market is still difficult and recovering slowly, distributors are being cautious in importing goods.

In that context, selling expenses and administrative expenses were reduced by 8% compared to the same period, to 409 billion VND. After deducting expenses, pre-tax profit was 183 billion VND, up 10%. After-tax profit is expected to reach 66 billion VND.

Compared with the 2024 business target of VND 3,800 billion in revenue and VND 380 billion in pre-tax profit, Thien Long has currently completed 38% of the revenue target and 48% of the annual profit target.
