
Joint stamp commemorating 30 years of diplomatic relations between Monaco and China
The stamp set, designed by artist Yan Ping, has a face value of 2.10 euros and measures 60 x 40.85 mm (horizontal). The stamp set is printed using multi-color offset printing technology. In addition to the stamp set, Monaco Post also issues a number of publications for collectors such as the Cancellation Request (CTO) stamp, the First Day of Issue (FDC) envelope and the collection stamp cover sheet.
The Principality of Monaco and the People’s Republic of China maintain close ties despite their geographical distance. Diplomatic milestones between the two countries in recent years include a historic state visit by President Xi Jinping to the Principality in 2019, following state visits by Prince Albert to China in 2007 and 2018. The two countries share similar positions on important issues, including climate change. Sport is another shared value between Monaco and China, and there are significant economic links between Monaco and Chinese businessmen.
