Singer Vu Thuy Linh choked up: 'In my next life, I still want to be Vietnamese'

During the program, Vu Thuy Linh gave an impressive performance with the song “ Singing about the rice plants today” by musician Hoang Van. The work was performed in the medley “Em di giu bien vang” – “Singing about the rice plants today” with Den Vau and Khanh Chi.

With her emotional and powerful voice, Vu Thuy Linh breathed life into each word, bringing a familiar melody that was both solemn and full of love for her homeland. The combination of the young artist's clear yet powerful voice in the majestic atmosphere of the auditorium created an unforgettable artistic moment.

She shared: "This is a sacred moment that makes me choke with emotion. More than just a performance, this is a precious milestone in my career journey, helping me to appreciate my homeland and country more and be proud to sing for the Fatherland."

Vu Thuy Linh believes that patriotism does not stop at slogans but needs to start with simple daily actions: protecting the environment, studying hard, respecting and promoting national cultural identity. It is these small actions that will contribute to building an increasingly powerful Vietnam.

Vu Thuy Linh sent a touching message to the young generation: "We can go everywhere, we can learn many different cultures, but our roots and national identity are always irreplaceable. Even if I could choose again, in my next life, I still wish to be Vietnamese so that I can live, contribute and be loved on this land rich in tradition and affection."

Born in 1999, Vu Thuy Linh is a chamber-folk singer who graduated from the Military University of Culture and Arts, and also holds a Master's degree in Music Teaching Theory and Methodology (Central University of Fine Arts) and is studying Business Administration (National Economics University).

In 2024, she made her mark with the project To Dong Thanh Thot - an album combining four folk melodies (Xam, Quan Ho, Cheo, Chau Van) with a symphony orchestra conducted by musician Luu Quang Minh.

Since then, Vu Thuy Linh has continuously asserted herself through milestones: opening the Hozo International Music Festival when sharing the stage with Henry Lau, becoming a speaker on VTV1 Take Off and appearing regularly in cultural and political programs...

The two remaining programs on the occasion of September 2 that Vu Thuy Linh participated in are the art program at Ba Dinh Square - Independence Oath - Aspiration for Peace under the Parade program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (taking place on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square) and the art political program Epic of Victory (taking place on September 5 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025).
