Along with the top Vietnamese track and field athletes and famous amateur runners, VTV Phu Quoc Marathon 2025 has the participation of thousands of domestic and international runners. The tournament has a total prize of up to 650 million VND.
One of the notable points of the first season of VTV Phu Quoc Marathon is that there is a category for domestic and international athletes for the 42 km and 21 km distances. Unfortunately, the attractive national record breaking prizes of up to 50 million VND and 25 million VND for the 42 km and 21 km distances had no winners, despite the presence of familiar record holders such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong.
Unable to create any surprises, the above mentioned names of Vietnamese athletics along with Bui Thi Thu Ha and Luong Duc Phuoc all finished first in their events.
The "last minute" landing of record holder Hoang Nguyen Thanh along with a series of famous runners such as Dan Quyet, former national athlete Le Van Tuan and Tan Hi created a dramatic race, heating up the VTV Phu Quoc Marathon 2025.

The presence of the quartet Thanh - Tuan - Quyet - Hi brought an exciting competition on the beautiful running track of VTV Phu Quoc Marathon 2025. In fact, it was not Dan Quyet with his youth but veteran Van Tuan who continuously competed with record holder Nguyen Thanh on most of the route.
It was not until the last kilometers that Nguyen Thanh sprinted away, leaving behind his 10-year-older brother Le Van Tuan to finish first with a time of 2 hours 38 minutes 43 seconds.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Oanh (21 km), Nguyen Trung Cuong (21 km men), Bui Thi Thu Ha (42 km women) and Luong Duc Phuoc (10 km men) did not encounter many obstacles or challenges in their journey to conquer the Pearl Island running route.
The success of VTV Phu Quoc Marathon 2025, in addition to the professional factor, has also been welcomed by the domestic and international running community. There are running clubs that do not mind the difficulties of distance and travel conditions to participate in the race. Soc Trang Runners Club is an example. At 11 pm the night before the BIB distribution day, more than 40 athletes of Soc Trang Runners traveled by road to Ha Tien at 5 am the next day, then continued by speedboat to Phu Quoc and immediately went to the Expo area to receive the Race Kit.

The cool weather of the race day seemed to add to the spirit of thousands of excited athletes, creating a festive atmosphere, and experiencing the route through the beautiful locations of Phu Quoc United Center.
Taking place on the occasion of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, VTV Phu Quoc Marathon with its professional organization and international scale is a memorable event for athletes and their families. Not only conquering the challenges of the race together, athletes and their families also enjoyed a romantic music night at Corona Phu Quoc Square with famous singers Ha Nhi, Lan Nha, and Tang Phuc in the evening of the same day.
The tournament was broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV's digital infrastructure. VTV Phu Quoc Marathon contributed to spreading the image of one of the most attractive and beautiful island tourist destinations in Asia.
