Key secondary schools in Vinh Phuc finalize schedule for capacity assessment for grade 6

Vinh Yen Secondary School conducted student capacity assessment on June 11.

On May 15, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc province informed about the number of quotas and detailed schedule of capacity assessment tests for entering grade 6 of key secondary schools in districts/cities in the province.

Accordingly, there will be 1,895 enrollment targets for grade 6 at key secondary schools in the province for the 2025-2026 school year.

Vinh Yen Secondary School is the unit with the highest enrollment target for grade 6 with 360 students.

Vinh Tuong and Yen Lac secondary schools have the same enrollment quota, 240 students each.

Ly Tu Trong Secondary School (Binh Xuyen), Tam Duong Secondary School, Lap Thach Secondary School each enrolls 200 6th grade students.

In addition, Phuc Yen Secondary School recruits 190 students; Song Lo Secondary School 160 students.

The lowest quota is Tam Dao Secondary School with 105 students.

Schools also set a schedule for the competency assessment test during the 6th grade entrance exam.

Specifically, the schools that will conduct the earliest assessment are Lap Thach Secondary School, Vinh Tuong Secondary School, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, and Phuc Yen Secondary School, all of which will conduct the assessment on June 6.

Yen Lac Secondary School, Tam Dao Secondary School and Song Lo Secondary School will conduct student assessments on June 7. Tam Duong Secondary School on June 10.

Finally, Vinh Yen Secondary School will conduct on June 11.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc issued a document adjusting the schedule for assessing the capacity of students entering grade 6 at key schools.

Accordingly, the time to organize the capacity assessment test for secondary schools with the number of candidates registering for admission greater than the assigned quota in districts/cities in the province, must be completed no later than June 21.

According to the explanation of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc, the reason for this adjustment is to ensure convenience in recruiting students for grade 6 of junior high school in the context of implementing the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units in the locality.

Thus, instead of scheduling a general assessment test for the whole province to take place on the morning of June 21 as before, now the Department of Education and Training requires that based on the adjusted schedule, the People's Committees of districts and cities direct the Departments of Education and Training to study and adjust the 6th grade enrollment plan in accordance with the actual situation in the locality.
