Focusing on human resource development and creating space for personal interests are factors that help VNG enter the top 5 large enterprises with the best working environment, announced by GPTW.

On May 18, at the Vietnam Best Workplaces 2023 event organized by GPTW, VNG was in the top 5 large-scale companies (1,000 employees or more) with the best working environment in Vietnam. According to GPTW, based on the results of a survey conducted in 2022, the agency analyzed and collected opinions from employees to select the 25 best workplaces in Vietnam by size.

More than 4,047 employees working at VNG were invited to participate in the GPTW survey with a response rate of 73%. All survey indicators received positive reviews of over 86%, of which 97% of employees said that VNG is a trustworthy workplace and 94% felt proud to tell others about the company they work for. 96% of employees rated "all employees are given equal opportunities and treatment" and 95% confirmed that VNG provides good working conditions.

At the end of 2022, in an email sent to all employees, Mr. Le Hong Minh - CEO of VNG emphasized that "every employee deserves to experience the best working environment". This is a commitment made by the company, aiming to achieve the goal of creating products that meet international standards and stature while possessing an international standard working environment and culture.

Investing in human development activities is at the heart of how to build a working environment. Every quarter, VNG Connect is held in parallel, both in person and online, for leaders to update the business situation of each block and listen to and answer questions from employees.

Identifying "people as the center of development", the company builds programs to improve professional skills and soft skills for employees. For example, ZaloPay Talks - a series of workshops sharing experiences and exchanging knowledge between the technical (tech) and business groups - is held twice a month since the end of 2022 with more than 1,200 participants. VNG Learning Box - skill training courses built by the training department are regularly updated with new topics, closely following market trends with a total of up to 9,000 training hours.

According to a report conducted by Duke University (USA) with 1,800 CEOs and CFOs worldwide, 92% agreed that "work culture will improve business value". This report emphasizes that a cohesive corporate culture will optimize costs, operate effectively, increase work performance and stimulate employee creativity.

Great Place to Work (GPTW) - the global authority on corporate culture offers an employee survey platform based on 30 years of research and refinement, called Emprising. This platform uses the Trust Index to evaluate excellent workplaces. In the employee survey, the five factors are focused on: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

To be recognized in the annual Top 25 Best Places to Work list, a company must achieve Great Place to Work certification. GPTW then ranks the companies that have achieved the certification and selects the top 25 with the highest scores.

Established in 2004, VNG is a leading technology company in Vietnam. After 18 years, the group now has nearly 5,000 members with 19 offices in 14 cities in 9 countries. Along with core products such as online games, connection platforms, electronic payments and cloud computing, VNG is also investing heavily in digital transformation platforms (Digital Business) and artificial intelligence (AI).
