She said: “They turned an underground car park into a big canteen and they serve banh mi and bun bo vien 24 hours a day.
I was also quite pleased that they served hot food and a variety of meats and vegetables for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also had a fruit and salad bar as well as a variety of drinks.
For safety and security reasons we did not leave the village, but our main focus here is competition, not R&R, so I was happy to stay in the complex. The hospitality was fantastic. The organisers were helpful, ensuring the athletes' needs were well taken care of.”
After 64 years of waiting, it can be seen that Cambodia is very serious and preparing very carefully for the largest sports event in Southeast Asia.
