In an interview with Indonesia's Indosport , Head of Indonesia's Performance and Development Department (PBSI), Rionny Mainaky, had some glowing words for the host country Cambodia. He said that when he arrived at the 32nd SEA Games, he was very impressed with the way the competition venues and athletes' village were arranged.

Mr. Rionny Mainaky shared: “The venue is quite good, although a bit small, but the wind, light and carpet are all very good. In the athletes’ village, they have prepared a shuttle bus to the competition venue even though it is very close. This really helps us because we don’t have to walk in the hot weather.

Not to mention the modern gym equipment. Although the organizers said it was not ready, when I saw it, it did not disappoint me.

Mr. Rionny Mainaky said that Cambodia's thoughtfulness helped Indonesian athletes adapt quickly to competition conditions in Cambodia.

Mr. Rionny Mainaky also added that receiving careful preparation from the host country of the 32nd SEA Games is one of the factors that helps Indonesian athletes quickly adapt to the competition conditions in Cambodia, thereby being able to quickly get into the rhythm of training, aiming for high achievements at this tournament.

Thai reporters received enthusiastic help from Cambodian people while working.

Thai Rath Sports, a Thai sports website, also has many articles praising Cambodia's organization. The site also has the feelings of many Thai athletes about the quality of the competition venues as well as the people of the host country of the 32nd SEA Games. The most impressive of these is probably an article titled Good story after the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games . The article tells about the work of a group of Thai reporters for the opening ceremony. Because many means of transport were congested and they could not catch the Grab service, they had to walk 4.5 km to get to Morodok Techo Stadium to work. However, after only about 1 km, a Cambodian stopped and helped the group of reporters arrive in time for the opening ceremony.

When writing about the people in Cambodia, the group of reporters said: “We feel great. I am proud to come to Cambodia as we feel welcomed. Cambodian people told us that in the past, ASEAN or the whole world only knew Cambodia for its agricultural products but now the world knows them as the host of the 32nd SEA Games”.

Meanwhile, on Singapore’s The Straits Times , they also have many articles about the organization of the host country Cambodia. Many polls of Singaporean fans and athletes about their experiences at the Games in Cambodia have been conducted.

“Although the weather here is very hot, we have a big gym, a big swimming pool and a sauna which is very good for our training and recovery,” Rezza Gaznavi, a Singapore cricketer, told The Straits Times . “We are being well looked after, there is even a police escort to clear the way and help us get to the venue in 15 minutes when it usually takes an hour.”

Besides Rezza Gaznavi, another Singaporean athlete, Teh May Yong, who participated in the 32nd SEA Games in ju-jitsu, praised the organization and food in Cambodia on Todayonline . She said: “They turned an underground car park into a big canteen and they serve banh mi and bun bo vien 24 hours a day.

I was also quite pleased that they served hot food and a variety of meats and vegetables for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also had a fruit and salad bar as well as a variety of drinks.

For safety and security reasons we did not leave the village, but our main focus here is competition, not R&R, so I was happy to stay in the complex. The hospitality was fantastic. The organisers were helpful, ensuring the athletes' needs were well taken care of.”

After 64 years of waiting, it can be seen that Cambodia is very serious and preparing very carefully for the largest sports event in Southeast Asia. Before that, a sparkling, colorful and rich Cambodian opening ceremony also received "a shower of compliments" from friends in the region as well as internationally.
