In recent years, the Vietnamese art market has gradually formed and developed, with products and services increasingly rich in content and form, meeting the diverse needs of the public, and at the same time initially reaching out to the international market. However, this development process is still in its early stages, with many bottlenecks and limitations in institutions, management mechanisms, infrastructure, resources and connectivity in the art ecosystem.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, a representative of the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism emphasized: "Developing the art market is an objective requirement of the socialist-oriented market economy , and at the same time is an important driving force to improve people's spiritual life, affirming the identity and position of Vietnamese culture in the process of international integration."

The workshop focused on discussing issues in typical art fields including: Cinema, painting and live music programs and events. Delegates discussed and analyzed many aspects such as: Theoretical and practical basis for developing the Vietnamese art market; structure, motivation and main participants in the market; mechanisms, policies, resources, infrastructure, technology and digital transformation in managing and developing the art market; international experience and lessons that can be applied in Vietnam's conditions.

The workshop attracted many scientists, artists and representatives of art management agencies.

Accordingly, the presentations at the workshop focused on assessing, analyzing, and proposing solutions with two main groups of topics: the convergence of art and technology in the digital age; perfecting policies, governance models, and enhancing the sustainability of the Vietnamese art market.

Many opinions say that the strong development of technology and the digital transformation process are creating profound changes in the creation, production, distribution and consumption of artistic products. Technology helps artists, producers and the public interact directly, while opening up new business models in the fields of cinema, music and fine arts.

The presentations also pointed out the impact of digital transformation on art consumption behavior, the importance of using data and market analysis tools to guide creativity, as well as the challenges in protecting copyright and related rights in the online environment.

In addition, opinions emphasized the role of digital marketing, online publishing platforms, and creative spaces in promoting Vietnamese art products to a wider public. Taking advantage of the UNESCO "Creative City" title in some localities is considered an opportunity to develop cultural industries and connect art with tourism, technology and social life.

Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, President of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association, spoke at the workshop.

The second thematic group of the workshop focused on improving institutions, policies and enhancing the financial sustainability of the art market. Opinions and presentations suggested the need to improve the legal framework on intellectual property, copyright, international cooperation; and build a linkage model between art organizations, businesses and investors.

In addition, it is necessary to encourage the role of cultural funds, sponsors and charitable organizations in developing art as an economic, cultural and social asset. In addition, diversifying investment sources and making financial flows in the creative sector transparent are also emphasized as prerequisites to ensure professionalism and health for the Vietnamese art market.

The conference agreed that developing the Vietnamese art market in the current period requires synchronous coordination between the State, artists, businesses and the social community. The focus is on strongly applying science and technology, improving management capacity, perfecting creative support policies and building a modern cultural environment rich in identity.

Developing the art market is both an objective requirement of a socialist-oriented market economy and a strategic task to improve people's spiritual life and affirm the position of Vietnamese culture in the process of international integration and the digital age.

The workshop is an important scientific forum, contributing to the strategic orientation of the development of the Vietnamese art market in the new period, aiming to build a dynamic, modern and national-identified art ecosystem, actively contributing to the development of Vietnamese culture, people and the national creative economy.
