Dien Bien Airport welcomes nearly 70 thousand passengers

Dien Bien TV - According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), after 4 months of resumption, Dien Bien Airport has operated over 900 takeoffs and landings with nearly 70,000 passengers.

After 4 months of re-opening, the number of visitors to and from Dien Bien has increased and stabilized.

After being upgraded and expanded, Dien Bien Airport can now operate modern large aircraft Airbus A320, A321, with flight frequencies: Hanoi - Dien Bien 7 flights/week; Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien 3 flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays. Travel time is shortened, gradually meeting the needs of people in the area.

After 4 months of resumption, the number of passengers arriving and departing from Dien Bien has increased and stabilized. As of March 31, 2024, Dien Bien Airport had over 900 flights with a total of nearly 70,000 passengers.

Many passengers from neighboring provinces such as Lai Chau and Son La also travel to Dien Bien Phu to fly to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Ensuring security, aviation safety and service quality is a top priority.

Currently, the summer flight schedule has just been announced by Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air to increase the total number of flights to 42 flights/week. In particular, 2024 is the "National Tourism Year - Dien Bien" associated with the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, along with promoting tourism promotion activities, the number of visitors to Dien Bien will continue to increase.
