The charming scenery of Trang An on the first day of the new year fascinates Western and Vietnamese tourists.

Trang An scenic complex (6,172 hectares) is located in Hoa Lu, Gia Vien, Nho Quan districts, Tam Diep town and Ninh Binh city, about 90km southeast of Hanoi , attracting a large number of tourists during holidays and Tet.

During the first days of the New Year of the Dragon, this place welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, including many foreign groups who love to explore nature.

Bustling boats and rafts take tourists to enjoy the early spring scenery on the winding Sao Khe River.

Along both sides of the river are vast patches of reed grass and towering mountains creating a majestic natural landscape.

Olivia (left) said: "I was very surprised by the wild space, close to nature here. The air is also very fresh and pleasant. Vietnam is really beautiful, I wish I could explore all the interesting places in your country."

A family of Australian tourists happily took photos in the pleasant weather at the beginning of the new year. "We celebrated Tet in Vietnam and went sightseeing at the beginning of the new year, like everyone here usually does. The whole family felt happy and joyful," said the female tourist.

Trang An is always a destination that attracts a large number of tourists, especially in the early spring of the new year. The number of foreign tourists flocking here at this time is very large.

The Trang An scenic complex also surrounds the Hoa Lu special-use primeval forest with a diverse and rich ecosystem. The system of pagodas scattered around the sightseeing route is also a popular check-in stop.

The idyllic scenery and mild weather make Trang An an indispensable destination on the list of spring travel destinations after Tet.
