Kinhtedothi - The Ninh Binh Festival 2024, themed "The Flow of Heritage," recreates the historical journey of the Vietnamese nation - the journey of establishing, relocating, and re-establishing the capital city by the emperors.
On the evening of November 24th, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival 2024, themed "The Flow of Heritage," took place at Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor Square (Ninh Binh city).
Speaking at the ceremony, Central Party Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department Le Hoai Trung emphasized that the Ninh Binh Festival 2024 is a very important cultural and tourism event, recreating the glorious historical milestones of the nation.
The festival is organized on a national scale, deeply rooted in national cultural identity, showcasing the unique characteristics of different regions of the country to promote cultural exchange and socio -economic development of localities and the entire nation; at the same time, connecting the experiential journey of locals and tourists.
Mr. Le Hoai Trung acknowledged and highly appreciated that over the past years, the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province have inherited and promoted the tradition of their ancestors, with the will and aspiration to rise up, unite, be creative, promote potentials and advantages, overcome many difficulties and challenges, and achieved important and comprehensive achievements in all fields.
From a purely agricultural province, up to now, Ninh Binh's economic growth rate has averaged over 8% annually; industry and services account for over 80% of the economic structure, industry has truly become the driving force for growth, tourism has also become a key economic sector contributing to the province's rapid and sustainable economic restructuring.
Attention is paid to investment and upgrading of socio-economic infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure; social security and social order and safety are ensured.
With the recent efforts, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung expressed his belief that the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity and aspiration, maximize the potential, unique values and advantages of the ancient capital to build Ninh Binh into a centrally-run city with the characteristics of a millennium heritage urban area, a creative city, a large center with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, heritage economy; ready to join the whole country in entering a new era - the era of national growth.
Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that with its location as a transitional area, the intersection of geological - climatic - cultural regions, Ninh Binh is endowed by nature with natural landscapes of "green mountains, beautiful waters", which are cultivated and woven by the artistic hands and creative minds of people, whose imprints are still deeply imprinted in many layers of cultural heritage.
Along with prehistoric relics, Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh land in the 10th century was given the mission of being the first imperial capital of the nation by history, associated with 3 dynasties, 6 kings of Dinh - Tien Le - Ly dynasties, marking the cause of unifying the country, establishing independence, full sovereignty, raising the national position...
In 2014, the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site, affirming its outstanding global value and creating opportunities for Ninh Binh to expand exchanges and cooperation, promoting socio-economic development.
Along with the achievements after nearly 40 years of innovation and more than 32 years of re-establishment of the province, with comprehensive socio-economic development, being a province with self-balancing budget and regulating the central budget, per capita income in 2023 ranked 11th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, creating a solid foundation for Ninh Binh to continue to break through and grow strongly.
Following the success of the 2022 and 2023 Ninh Binh Festivals, the 2024 Ninh Binh Festival continues to affirm the determination and efforts of Ninh Binh province in developing cultural industry, entertainment industry, heritage economy; organizing activities to preserve and promote the quintessence of Hoa Lu ancient capital in the flow of national cultural heritage; promoting cultural exchange between provinces and cities at home and abroad; creating unique cultural products to attract tourists, creating solidarity, cohesion, promoting peace, cooperation and development.
At Ninh Binh Festival 2024, many colorful cultural activities will take place. This is a cultural and tourism event of great significance, contributing to building and positioning the millennium heritage urban brand of Ninh Binh province.
