Traffic police clear the way to take stroke patient to emergency room at rush hour

On the morning of November 8, Bach Mai Hospital announced that thanks to the timely support of the Hanoi Traffic Police, the hospital's doctors had just rescued an elderly stroke patient in a dangerous condition.

Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on November 7, while on duty at the Dam Quang Trung - Co Linh intersection (Long Bien ward), the Hanoi Traffic Police Task Force, including Captain Pham Thanh Lam and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, received a request from the people for assistance in taking a patient to the hospital.

This person said that he and his daughter were taking his wife, Mrs. HTTT (63 years old, living in Gia Lam commune, Hanoi), who had a stroke and lost consciousness, to Bach Mai Hospital for emergency treatment. However, it was rush hour, the weather was drizzling, and the streets were very crowded, making it difficult to transport the patient to the emergency room.

Faced with this emergency situation, the Working Group quickly reported to the Unit Command and used a specialized motorbike to guide the patient's car to travel more than 11km from Long Bien area to Bach Mai Hospital.

Thanks to the timely support of the Traffic Police, the convoy quickly arrived at Bach Mai Hospital, helping the patient to be received and given timely emergency care by doctors during the “golden time” for stroke treatment. Immediately after, the family representative was moved to express their deep gratitude to the Traffic Police officers and soldiers who wholeheartedly helped the family in the emergency.
