Yen Bai's 650 billion VND bridge across the Red River is gradually revealed

Yen Bai - Gioi Phien is the 8th bridge across the Red River in the province, and it is also the 5th newly built bridge in the city.
Gioi Phien Bridge is 518 m long, has 9 spans, and a total investment of 650 billion VND. It is designed as a permanent, modern steel arch bridge, with a reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete structure with a total width of 20.5 m. Gioi Phien is the 8th bridge across the Red River in the province and the 5th bridge under construction in Yen Bai city, which will create a highlight to develop the city's urban space to the right bank of the Red River. According to Mr. Do Viet Bach - Director of the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province, Gioi Phien bridge was built to complete the synchronous infrastructure and traffic system, ensuring connection between the two banks of the Red River, creating a connecting axis from Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway with National Highway 32C, National Highway 70 and Au Co road, connecting to the center of Yen Bai city. The two ends of the bridge are in the communes of Gioi Phien and Van Phu (Yen Bai city), the project has reclaimed over 41,000 m2 of land from 50 individuals and organizations to serve the construction. Mr. Nguyen Van Dong (Giai Phien commune) shared: "People on both sides of the bridge all hope that the project will be completed soon and put into use, making traffic much more convenient. At the time of land clearance, people here also highly agreed." When completed and put into use, Gioi Phien Bridge will create a highlight for the urban space of Yen Bai city. On the other hand, Gioi Phien bridge is also suitable for traffic planning and contributes to making Yen Bai a fairly developed province by 2025, among the leading developed provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region by 2030. The abutments at both ends are waiting to be closed.
