Training the next generation of global managers for Vietnam's tourism industry

Vietnam is currently one of Asia’s most dynamic destinations, with over 15.6 million international arrivals in 2024 and an impressive post-pandemic recovery. However, to maintain its competitiveness, the tourism and hospitality industry needs a well-trained senior management team with a global mindset and an understanding of local identity – exactly the direction that the MHM program is aiming for.

Professor Dr. Rodolphe Bardot, Director of Academic Affairs and Master Program Development at Ferrandi Paris, shared: “The collaboration between Ferrandi Paris and CFVG not only brings international academic standards but also contributes to shaping the future of the regional tourism and hospitality industry. Vietnam is emerging as a dynamic destination, requiring a management team with a global mindset and the ability to lead sustainable innovation.”

Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Viet Tien, Co-Director of CFVG Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: “The MHM program is a timely step, connecting international knowledge with domestic practice, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources, meeting the needs of transformation and integration of the tourism and hospitality industry in Vietnam.”

In addition to academic quality, the program also offers many scholarships to Tourism graduates from UEH and staff from CFVG's partner companies. Graduates receive a Master of Science degree from Ferrandi University Paris, recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, as well as the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training - a prestigious guarantee affirming their capacity in the global labor market.

France - Vietnam Cooperation: Sustainable Foundation for Training High-Quality Human Resources

Established in 1992 under the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of France, CFVG is a cooperation project between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France (CCI Paris Ile-de-France) and two host Vietnamese universities, UEH and National Economics University (NEU).

Over the past three decades, CFVG has affirmed its pioneering role in training in management, finance, marketing and supply chain, becoming an academic bridge between the two educational systems of France and Vietnam.

The cooperation with Ferrandi Paris – a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE) – marks a strategic step forward for CFVG in expanding its postgraduate training programs according to European standards, especially in the field of tourism and luxury services, which is one of the important drivers of Vietnam's economic growth.

CFVG representative said that the MHM program not only has academic significance but also demonstrates the commitment to long-term cooperation between the two countries in the field of education, contributing to realizing UEH's international vision, building Ho Chi Minh City into a center for training high-quality tourism and hospitality human resources in the Southeast Asia region.

The Master of Tourism Management (MHM) program is now officially enrolling its first class, scheduled to open in January 2026 at CFVG Ho Chi Minh City.
