According to the list announced by the State Council of Professors, among the 993 candidates proposed for recognition of titles this year, there are 89 professor candidates and 844 associate professor candidates in various fields/interdisciplinary fields. Compared to 2024, the number of candidates this year increased sharply from 673 to 933, an increase of 260 people (nearly 40%).
The candidate proposed to be recognized as the youngest professor this year is Associate Professor Dr. Vo Hoang Hung, born in 1987, from Vinh Long .
Mr. Hung is currently the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Saigon University. Previously, he was one of the four youngest associate professors, recognized in January 2021.

At the end of 2011, he received 3 doctoral scholarships at the same time and chose the Marie Curie scholarship at the University of Paris 6 (France). In 2014, he received his doctorate in Analytical Mathematics and Partial Differential Equations.
In 2015, he returned to the country to work and worked in many places before choosing to work at Saigon University from 2018 to present.
Mr. Hung's main research directions include: Inverse problems, partial differential equations, nonlinear analysis, non-integer analysis, and biological problems.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Hoang Hung guided two doctoral students to successfully defend their theses, completed two ministerial-level scientific research projects, and published 23 scientific articles, including 21 in prestigious international journals.
The two youngest associate professor candidates in the country this year are Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh (interdisciplinary Chemistry - Food Technology) and Dr. Do Quang Loc (Physics), both born in 1992.

According to the list of candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of the institution to be considered for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025, announced by the State Council of Professors, the youngest professor candidate in the medical field, born in 1979 (46 years old), is Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tien, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Center, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hue University.
Candidate Hoang Anh Tien is from Loc Dien commune, Phu Loc district (old), Hue city. He graduated as a medical doctor from Hue University of Medicine in 2003; then received a Master's degree in Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine from Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2007.
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tien is also currently Vice President of the Vietnam Heart Failure Association, Vice President of the Vietnam Atherosclerosis Association, President of the Central Sleep Association, Standing Member of the Vietnam Internal Medicine Association, Standing Member of the Vietnam Sleep Association, FESC, FACC, FSCAI.
In 2011, he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. In 2015, he was appointed Associate Professor of Medicine.
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tien has two main research directions. The first direction is to study coronary artery intervention and the current prominent related risk factors such as sleep apnea, hypertension and atherosclerosis. The second direction is to study transcutaneous cardiac pacing and biological indicators NT-ProBNP, sST2, T-wave alternating electrical indicators, Heart rate variability in the prognosis of arrhythmia and heart failure.
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tien was selected by the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund as one of the 10 outstanding young faces of Vietnam in 2007, and was awarded a medal and a certificate of creative labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. He was also awarded the title of Outstanding Young Physician of Vietnam in 2011 and the Golden Globe for Science and Technology in 2012.
