The two sides discussed several options for a peace plan, including territory, and agreed to continue contact. Here are the main statements from Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov about the talks, as quoted by TASS news agency:

"Constructive and informative"
The meeting lasted five hours: "That is, there was an opportunity to thoroughly discuss the prospects for further joint cooperation to achieve a lasting peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis. The conversation was very useful, constructive and informative."
Several options for plans in Ukraine were considered: "Of course, we discussed with our American colleagues the content of those projects, the documents of which the Americans transferred to Moscow some time ago."
"We are not discussing specific formulas, specific US proposals, but discussing the real essence of what is stated in these US documents."
After the first version of the US peace plan for Ukraine, Russia received four more documents, which were discussed at the Kremlin meeting: Mr. Trump's 27-point plan, "then we received several more documents, namely four documents that were also discussed at today's meeting."
"I cannot reveal the main points of these documents. They all relate to a lasting peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine."
No agreement on Ukraine, discuss economic cooperation
There is still no compromise plan for Ukraine, some of the US ideas are acceptable to Russia, some are not. The territorial issue was raised at the meeting: "Territorial issues were discussed in detail."
At the meeting, Mr Putin pointed out “the destructive actions we see from the European side in the context of the settlement”.
President Putin sent friendly greetings to Mr Trump through Mr Witkoff and some important political signals, "which his interlocutors took note of".
Putin, Witkoff and businessman and investor Jared Kushner also discussed "the great prospects for future economic cooperation between the two countries." Kushner (Mr. Trump's son-in-law) has been involved in contacts between Russia and the US on the Ukraine issue for some time now.
No further disagreement
After the meeting at the Kremlin, Russia and the US had no further disagreements on the issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine: "There are certainly no further disagreements. But there is still a lot of work to be done in both Washington and Moscow. The agreement has been reached and contacts will continue."
The meeting between Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump "depends on the progress made on this path: We will work hard and persistently through our assistants and experts of the Foreign Ministry."
