Police officers must have 'clean hands and know how to respect honor'

This direction was emphasized by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue at a visit and New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of Nghe An Provincial Police on the morning of February 8.

Entering 2024, the National Assembly Chairman requested Nghe An Provincial Police to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's Resolutions and Directives, and the State's policies and laws on ensuring security and order.

In particular, the National Assembly Chairman paid special attention to Resolution No. 51 of the Politburo on the National Security Protection Strategy; Conclusion No. 13 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 48 of the 10th Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in crime prevention and control in the new situation...

At the same time, urgently organize the implementation of new laws promulgated by the National Assembly such as: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security; Law on Forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level; Law on Identification...

According to the National Assembly Chairman, Nghe An Provincial Police need to focus on doing better in Party building, building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern force, meeting the requirements and tasks in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 12 of the 13th Politburo in the direction of a strong Ministry, strong province, comprehensive district, and grassroots commune.

" Comrades need to continue to promote the exemplary role of leaders and commanders at all levels; strengthen political and ideological education for cadres and party members, strictly implement the six teachings of President Ho Chi Minh to the People's Public Security and the advice of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for each police officer and soldier to have a warm heart, a cool head, steady feet, clean hands and know how to respect honor, " said the National Assembly Chairman.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested Nghe An Provincial Police to continue to step up the fight against corruption, negativity, and waste; resolutely prevent, repel, and strictly handle cadres, party members, and soldiers who have degraded political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, and show signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle.

At the same time, continue to promote the fight against crime, strive to complete and exceed the targets assigned by the National Assembly, the Government, and the Ministry of Public Security. Promote the core role in building a mass movement to protect national security, promote mass mobilization work associated with building a solid people's security foundation and people's security posture.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Nghe An Provincial Police to promptly detect conflicts and disputes arising among the people to advise on resolving them right at the grassroots level, not allowing them to create "hot spots" of security and order.

At the same time, pay attention to and promote mass mobilization activities, social security work, care for officers, soldiers, people in difficult circumstances, policy families... such as programs and projects that Nghe An Police have been and are effectively implementing.

Emphasizing the requirement of "building and consolidating the people's hearts and minds because when the people's hearts and minds are peaceful, everything will be peaceful", the National Assembly Chairman also requested the Nghe An Provincial Police to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement Directive No. 26 of the Secretariat on organizing the 2024 Giap Thin Lunar New Year.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the Public Security force continues to promote the spirit of "staying awake so that people can sleep well, standing guard so that people can have fun, taking the joy and happiness of the people as their joy and reason for living", maintaining and stabilizing security, order, and religious and ethnic security, especially in border areas and islands, serving the people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet healthily, safely, economically, and warmly in their homeland of Nghe An.
