On the evening of December 12, 2023, at the International Convention Center (Hanoi), General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and his wife, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong and his wife held a solemn reception to welcome General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his wife on a State visit to Vietnam.
