Allowing to remove the median strip (temporary) at Km3+500 of Dong Viet bridge project

BAC NINH - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a document agreeing in principle to allow the investor to temporarily organize traffic at Km3+500 of the Dong Viet bridge construction project and the bridge access road according to the plan of the Department of Construction.

Specifically, the investor is allowed to temporarily remove the median strip at Km3+500 of the Dong Viet bridge construction project and the approach road to the bridge to allow non-motorized vehicles and motorbikes to turn around to the side lane to facilitate people and students participating in traffic on the route.

After the approach road to Dong Viet bridge is completed according to the approved plan, the median strip opening point at Km3 + 500 mentioned above will be closed.

Bac Ninh Province Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 1 organizes traffic at the location where the median strip is removed (temporarily); installs and completes the traffic safety system including: Directional signs, road signs, road markings, speed bumps, speed limit signs from the location where the median strip is opened to turn vehicles in both directions according to regulations to ensure absolute traffic safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.

At the same time, conduct road traffic safety inspection and assessment of the project before organizing acceptance and handover of the project for exploitation and use according to regulations.

The provincial police directed the traffic police force and police of relevant communes and wards to strengthen traffic regulation, especially during rush hours at the temporary turning point area.

Coordinate with the Management Board of Traffic and Agriculture Project No. 1 of Bac Ninh province to regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the traffic organization plan at the location where the median strip is opened for U-turns since the date of putting into operation to promptly detect and propose adjustment and handling plans if there are any problems in traffic organization to suit actual conditions.

The People's Committee of Canh Thuy Ward directed residential groups and schools to regularly propagate to people and students to comply with traffic laws, especially to drive in the correct lanes and roads as prescribed.
