Although 4 places higher than their opponents in the world rankings, the Thai team was rated lower than Sweden. However, with the support of nearly 10,000 home fans, the Thai girls played explosively.
In the match against Sweden, coach Kiattipong continued to use the players that brought a 3-1 victory over Egypt such as Chatchu-on, Thatdao, Pimpichaya, Sasipapron, Pornpun. Against the tall and strong Swedish hitters, the Thai team still deployed a diverse and effective attack while organizing a good defense. Setter Pornpun showed his understanding with his teammates with sharp passes, helping Pimpichaya continuously score points for the Thai team.
Sweden's chances of reaching the next round of the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Cup ended after losing to host Thailand.
