"Choosing a major means choosing a future for yourself"

On May 8, the College of Engineering and Technology held a closing ceremony, awarded diplomas to more than 1,100 students of the 16th course, school year 2022-2025, and provided career counseling to students of middle and high schools.

In the 2022-2025 school year, the school will enroll more than 1,300 students, assigned to 13 training occupations, including industrial electricity; industrial electronics; refrigeration and air conditioning engineering; mechatronics; welding; metal cutting; automotive technology; fashion tailoring; computer network administration; computer repair and assembly techniques; business accounting; food processing techniques and restaurant and hotel operations.

The school's College program has a study period of 2-2.5 years with a total of 99-115 credits/training program.

With the Intermediate program, the input is secondary school graduates who go to vocational school. Therefore, the school has coordinated with Continuing Education Centers to train the "2 in 1" program. Thus, after 3 years of study, students will be awarded 2 degrees, an Intermediate degree and a High School degree.

Currently, the scale of the school's continuing education program is equivalent to that of a medium-sized high school, consisting of 40 classes with nearly 1,900 students.

At the end of the 2022-2025 school year, the school had 1,121 students who met the requirements and were recognized as graduates (99.1%).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang An Binh - Principal of the College of Technology - shared that to be present at the closing ceremony and graduation ceremony today, teachers and students of the school have spent three years studying, training and striving together. In particular, the 2022-2025 course encountered many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic with complicated and unpredictable developments.

"The Covid-19 pandemic has made our teachers and students worried, confused, and even bewildered at times. However, today, 1,121 students have been recognized as graduates.

This is a clear demonstration of the tireless efforts of the students, as well as the unity and dedication of the school's leadership, teachers, staff and workers.

From this moment on, you have officially become bachelors, practicing engineers, skilled workers, equipped with professional knowledge and skills to confidently enter the labor market, contributing to society and the country," Principal Dang An Binh emphasized.

According to teacher Dang An Binh, today, in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution, lifelong learning has become an essential requirement for anyone who wants to maintain their position in the competitive labor market.

"In a learning society, if one day we stop learning, it means one day we fall behind," he said.

Principal Binh said that, in response to the increasing demands of the labor market, the school is actively expanding and developing training programs leading to college level.

After graduation, if students wish to continue their studies, they can register for advanced training programs right at the school.

He shared that 3 years ago, most students when they first entered school were hesitant in choosing between studying culture at public high schools or pursuing a vocational education program combined with high school culture. Because career orientation is a turning point decision for each person's future.

"Choosing a major is also choosing a future for yourself. When determining the right career that suits your abilities, strengths and passions, you will have the opportunity to maximize your abilities, thereby being steady on the path of establishing yourself and your career both now and in the future," Mr. Binh emphasized.

At the ceremony, the school principal awarded bachelor's and practical engineering degrees to outstanding students of the 16th course, 2022-2025 school year. The school also awarded full-course scholarships and scholarships for students to encourage them in their studies.
