Proposal to swap for 5 consecutive days off on April 30

According to the official dispatch issued by the Government Office on April 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Official Dispatch No. 15111/LĐTBXH-CATLĐ dated April 11, 2024 on the proposal to swap working days on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1, 2024 holidays.

The Prime Minister requested that agencies and units implementing the April 30 - May 1 holiday schedule must arrange working departments reasonably to handle continuous work, ensure good service to organizations and people, in which pay attention to assigning cadres and civil servants to be on duty to handle sudden and unexpected work that may occur.

The Prime Minister authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the exchange and holidays of Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1 to agencies, units, businesses and employees.

Specifically, the working day will be swapped from April 29 to May 4, right after the holiday. With this swap, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from April 27 to May 1.

The above holiday schedule applies to civil servants and public employees, but the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also encourages employers to apply the holiday time for Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, 2024 for employees as prescribed for civil servants and public employees, but ensure full implementation of the regimes for employees according to the provisions of law, and encourage more favorable agreements for employees.
