Head of the Inspection Committee of Bac Ninh province was proposed to be disciplined for using fake diploma.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thang, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Bac Ninh province, was proposed to be disciplined for using a fake master's degree that was not issued by the Ministry of Education and Training .

The Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee made the above conclusion at the conference on October 26. Accordingly, Mr. Thang used a fake master's degree when defending his thesis and receiving his doctorate, then used his doctorate to take the promotion exam.

Mr. Thang was assessed to have violated Party regulations and State laws in using illegal diplomas, violating what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example. This violation affects the reputation of the Party organization and Mr. Thang personally.

Therefore, the Standing Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee voted to consider disciplining Mr. Thang and report to the Central Inspection Committee .

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thang, 40 years old, from Bac Ninh province. According to his personnel profile, he has a bachelor's degree in finance and banking; a bachelor's degree in law; a master's degree in economics with a major in business administration; a master's degree in law with a major in criminal law and criminal procedure; and a doctorate in economics with a major in political economy.

He used to be Secretary of Tien Du District Party Committee, then Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission before holding the position of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee from June 2022.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee requested Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai to review and draw lessons; reprimand Mr. Truong Tien Yen (former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment), Mr. Cao Van Ha (former Director of the Department of Construction), and Mr. Le Tien Nam (former Deputy Director of the Department of Construction). These individuals violated the law related to approving the land use rights auction plan at the Dong Sen residential area technical infrastructure construction project in Tu Son town, causing loss to the state budget.

Mr. Do Xuan Thuy, Deputy Director of the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Research, was also reprimanded for incompletely declaring his political and personal characteristics in his personnel file.
