The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a document conveying the conclusion of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh on the progress of the investment project to build Phung Khoang Lake Park.

Mr. Tran Sy Thanh requested Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan districts to focus on directing and coordinating with relevant departments to thoroughly carry out site clearance for the remaining area and resolutely handle violations of re-encroachment.

The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee requested that the land be recovered and handed over to investors, completing the land clearance work before December 15.

The investor is assigned to focus all resources, proactively coordinate closely with relevant units to receive timely guidance on procedures related to adjusting investment policies, allowing continued construction.

At the same time, the investor must start construction of the remaining items immediately after receiving the site.

The investor is responsible for reviewing, completing, and maintaining completed items, handing them over to Nam Tu Liem district for management, maintenance, and use, serving the people during the Lunar New Year 2025.

The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem district is requested to coordinate, carry out the handover and temporarily accept the management and exploitation, ensuring conditions and safety during the implementation of procedures until the conditions for official handover are met according to regulations (no later than the first quarter of 2025).

Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, was assigned to direct units to organize and complete site clearance work before December 15 and handle existing problems and difficulties of the project.

Phung Khoang Lake Park project has a total area of ​​over 11 hectares, started in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2017. This is a land-for-infrastructure project in the capital.

After more than 8 years of construction, most of the items in this project have been completed, but currently the park is still unfinished, overgrown with grass, degraded items... causing great waste.

At a recent meeting to urge project progress, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the investor to better fulfill its responsibility for the public works project.

"It is impossible that the urban area project has been completed for a long time but the social works project has not been completed for a decade," Mr. Thanh emphasized.

Affirming the spirit of not delaying the project's progress, the Chairman of Hanoi requested units to create an open mechanism to implement public projects for people to benefit from.
