At the Mid-Autumn Festival, 100 children - 50 representing orphans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, 50 children in difficult circumstances in Binh Phuoc province - received Mid-Autumn gifts and a scholarship of 2 million VND from the President. Each child also received a scholarship of 2 million VND from the Central Youth Union, the Central Council of Young Pioneers, the Lao Dong Newspaper and accompanying agencies and units.

More than 1,000 children attending the program also received Mid-Autumn lanterns and gifts worth 350,000 VND/child.
On this occasion, President Vo Van Thuong presented 2 computer rooms with 40 computers; the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers presented a project "Space for reading, interaction and Team activities" to Tan Xuan C Primary School, Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province worth 350 million VND.
The total value of the works and gifts presented in Binh Phuoc province on this occasion is 1.6 billion VND.
Children were happy to receive gifts from the President.
Attending the Mid-Autumn Festival, President Vo Van Thuong said he was very happy to meet more than 1,000 children from provinces and cities and from all over the country. Although they have different circumstances, they have made great efforts to achieve good results in their studies, and know how to unite and share with everyone.

From September 19 to 29, the Mid-Autumn Festival program "Lanterns light up dreams" was organized by the Youth Union and Young Pioneers at all levels with many diverse activities with more than 5 million lanterns and gifts given to children in difficult circumstances, in remote areas, border areas, islands... The Central Youth Union and the Central Young Pioneers Council presented more than 12,000 lanterns and Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in 22 provinces and cities.
