On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on the morning of January 29th (the first day of the Year of the Snake), President Luong Cuong offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67, Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area at the Presidential Palace.
Accompanying the President was the Head of the President's Office, Le Khanh Hai.
In the solemn and moving atmosphere of the first day of the Lunar New Year, President Luong Cuong lit an incense stick and respectfully paid tribute. President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese nation, dedicated his entire life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation, our people, and international friends; leaving behind for our Party, our people, and present and future generations an invaluable ideological legacy, a shining example of morality, style, and way of life.
Next, President Luong Cuong visited President Ho Chi Minh's fish pond within the grounds of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site.
During his lifetime, every day after work in the afternoon, Uncle Ho would go to the pond, clap his hands to call the fish, and throw them food. Many years have passed since his death, but memories of his simple life by the garden and fish pond, his morality, and his compassion continue to spread throughout the country.
The President also visited the exhibition area displaying three automobiles used to serve President Ho Chi Minh, dating from 1954 to 1969, which were recently recognized as National Treasures by the Prime Minister in the final days of 2024. This event marks a special milestone as it is the first time in 55 years of preserving and promoting the value of the legacy left by President Ho Chi Minh that such a significant event has taken place. More than half a century has passed, but the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh remains profoundly present in the space of the special national historical site - the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site. The relics, documents, and artifacts here are the most vivid and authentic evidence reflecting his life, career, thoughts, ethics, and style.
Extending New Year greetings and engaging in cordial conversation with the staff of the Historical Site, the President requested that, in the new year, the Historical Site should continue to uphold its important role, wholeheartedly and diligently preserving the precious documents and artifacts of President Ho Chi Minh, so that these documents and artifacts become invaluable spiritual assets for present and future generations, and so that the Historical Site always remains a sacred "red address," a place that transmits the historical, ideological, moral, and stylistic values of Ho Chi Minh not only to the Vietnamese people but also to friends around the world.
