Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament welcomes the visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man

Ahead of the official visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and a high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam to Singapore from December 1-3, in an interview with a VNA reporter in Singapore on the significance of the visit to the bilateral relationship, on November 28, Singaporean Parliament Speaker Seah Kian Peng sent a letter, affirming that the upcoming visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is another concrete manifestation of the excellent bilateral and inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Singaporean Parliament Speaker Seah Kian Peng affirmed that Singapore and Vietnam have a good bilateral relationship underpinned by political trust, strong trade and investment links, and close people-to-people ties. Both countries share a common strategic vision and have strong high-level engagement between their leaders. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Singapore in February 2023, and then Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited Vietnam in August 2023.

Continuing the momentum of high-level exchanges, Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament Seah Kian Peng expressed his pleasure to welcome Speaker of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man on an official visit to Singapore from December 1-3, 2024. This important visit took place after a very good meeting between the Speakers of the two countries' National Assemblies on the sidelines of the 45th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly held in Laos earlier this year.
