General Secretary To Lam presents the Politburo's decision on personnel work

Attending the ceremony were Politburo members: Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front of Central Mass Organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, leaders of Party committees, the Office of the General Secretary, representatives of leaders of affiliated Party committees, and advisory agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee...

At the ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Hoang Dang Quang, authorized by the Politburo, announced decisions on personnel work.

Accordingly, on November 3, 2025, the Politburo issued Decision No. 2499 to let comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, cease to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.

In Decision No. 2500, the Politburo decided: Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ceased to participate in the 13th Party Central Committee Secretariat, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020-2025 term; transferred, assigned, appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On behalf of the Politburo, General Secretary To Lam presented the decision and flowers to congratulate comrade Do Van Chien.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Executive Committee, General Secretary To Lam congratulated comrade Do Van Chien on being assigned a new responsibility by the Central Committee and the Politburo; emphasizing that the transfer, assignment and appointment of comrade Do Van Chien to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term aims to implement the Party's policy and prepare well for the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress.

The General Secretary stated that Comrade Do Van Chien had participated in the revolution and matured from practical activities, from the grassroots; had a lot of experience in gathering and mobilizing the masses. He had participated in the Central Executive Committee for many terms, participated in the Politburo, the Secretariat and together with the Politburo and the Secretariat participated in leading all aspects of the Party and the country's work for a long time.

The General Secretary emphasized that the assignment and appointment of Comrade Do Van Chien to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee aims to strengthen the Party's leadership, contributing to making the National Assembly increasingly promote its role and position in the country's political system, and more effectively institutionalize the Party's guidelines and policies.

The General Secretary acknowledged that comrade Do Van Chien had completed his previous tasks very well. He always tried his best in any assigned task, from the localities to the Central agencies and especially during his time as a member of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The General Secretary hopes that Comrade Do Van Chien, in his new position, will continue to unite with comrades in the National Assembly Party Committee, the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Standing Committee to lead the National Assembly to complete its tasks, organize and well implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and the National Assembly's decisions in the coming time.

The General Secretary also asked comrades in the National Assembly, the National Assembly Party Committee, and the National Assembly Standing Committee to continue to maintain the tradition of solidarity and unity, creating more strength to coordinate to successfully complete tasks; comrades in the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central organizations always stand side by side with the National Assembly, continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and coordination so that all agencies can successfully complete their tasks.

In his acceptance speech, comrade Do Van Chien expressed his emotion when General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Politburo, handed over the decision to assign and appoint him to the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee; sharing that this is both a great honor and a new responsibility, and he must strive to fulfill it well.

Comrade Do Van Chien respectfully thanked the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and General Secretary To Lam for entrusting him with the new responsibility. In his new position, Comrade Do Van Chien affirmed that he will continuously study, cultivate, practice moral qualities, perfect working methods, unite, be devoted, and do his best together with the Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to successfully complete all tasks of the agency.
