Chairman of the City People's Committee received leaders of Genoa city, Italy

On the morning of January 17, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh had a meeting with Mr. Pietro Piciocchi, Acting Mayor of Genoa City, Italy, who visited and worked in the city.

At the reception, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh thanked Mr. Pietro Picochi for accepting the invitation to attend the Forum of Friendly and Cooperative Cities - Da Nang 2025, which shows the affection and interest of the city of Genoa towards Da Nang city. With many similarities, the Chairman of the City People's Committee proposed that the two sides continue to promote friendly cooperation between the two localities in potential fields. Currently, Da Nang is focusing on calling for investment in high-tech industry, semiconductors, AI, innovative startups, hoping that the Acting Mayor will promote the image of Da Nang to investors and partners to learn about and invest in the city.

For his part, the Acting Mayor expressed his impression of Vietnam, as well as Da Nang city. Emphasizing that the port of Genoa is one of the important ports of Italy, and recognizing the importance of Vietnam, including Da Nang with import and export accounting for an important part, the Acting Mayor wished to promote cooperation with Da Nang. In addition, he also agreed with the leaders of Da Nang city to introduce the image of Da Nang to Genoese investors, as well as promote the image of Da Nang tourism to the people of Genoa, so that the two sides can learn about each other, promoting the relationship between the two localities.
