(LĐ online) - On May 28, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai signed a document requesting the People's Committee of Da Lat City to direct the acceleration of construction progress of a number of traffic works in the city.

This decision was made after the Provincial People's Committee reviewed investment projects to build traffic works on Bui Thi Xuan, Hoang Van Thu, Hai Thuong, Phu Dong Thien Vuong streets... and found that the progress of implementation and disbursement was slow, and traffic safety and environmental sanitation were not ensured.

To overcome this situation, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Da Lat City People's Committee to direct investors and related units to urgently speed up the construction progress of traffic projects, especially key routes; strictly implement measures to ensure traffic safety and environmental sanitation during implementation, pay attention to the items of weaving ditches, manholes and review and fix the items of curbs of traffic works to avoid slipping, ensuring safety for people.

For projects under construction, the Provincial People's Committee requested units to study plans and solutions to overcome the use of slippery materials for curbs, ensuring safety for people.
