This year's writing camp attracted 66 artists and researchers to participate, aiming to promote theoretical activities and literary and artistic criticism; at the same time, creating an environment for exchange and learning between generations of artists from many regions.
Opening the series of professional activities was the topic "Achievements in Literature and Arts after 50 years of national reunification - The country is united" presented by Associate Professor, Doctor, Musician Do Hong Quan, providing insight into the development journey of Vietnamese literature and arts over the past half century.
In the following days, the writing camp will have the participation of many prestigious names in the field such as: Major General, Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh; Writer Bui Viet Thang; Associate Professor, Doctor, Painter Do Lenh Hung Tu; Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thi Minh Thai; Painter, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien... The speakers will present their papers, research and passionate views on theory and criticism of literature and art.
In addition to professional activities, campers will visit and experience some cultural and historical sites in Hue . This is an opportunity for artists to find more inspiration and bring life into their works and research.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee affirmed: "The writing camp is not only a place to nurture creative inspiration but also contributes to spreading the unique cultural soul of the ancient capital of Hue. I believe that the writing camp will give published many valuable works and research projects, making practical contributions to the development of the country's literature and arts."
The 8th Literature and Arts Theory and Criticism Writing Camp will last until June 20 in Hue City.
