On the evening of September 23, at the City Theater, the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association and Ho Chi Minh City Television to organize, and the City Light Music Center performed the art program Music Portrait - Musician Hoang Viet with the theme Love Songs for Everyone .

A special art program was held to honor and commemorate the Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Artist Hoang Viet, on the occasion of his 95th birthday.

Attending the program were comrades: Pham Chanh Truc, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Huynh Vinh Ai, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Tho Truyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; representatives of departments, branches, unions, professional associations of the Central and Ho Chi Minh City, armed forces, youth union members, artists, family, relatives and comrades of artist Hoang Viet.
Artist Hoang Viet's birth name is Le Chi Truc, also known by the pen names Le Truc, Hoang Viet Han and Le Quynh. He was born on February 28, 1928 in Cho Lon (now Ho Chi Minh City), and died on December 31, 1967 on the bank of the A Rat canal, My Thien village, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province, at the age of 39.
Growing up in the capital city of Saigon, Le Chi Truc composed very early, then followed the call of the country and joined the resistance. He gathered in the North, was sent by the Vietnam Conservatory of Music to study at the Bulgarian Conservatory of Music, and graduated with honors with the symphony Homeland . Homeland was also the first symphony of Vietnamese music to be performed in Bulgaria.

Returning to the country, after the Homeland Symphony was performed at the Hanoi Opera House, musician Hoang Viet volunteered to cross the Truong Son mountain range and return to the South, which was in the midst of war. He lived, composed and fought until his last breath.
Musician Hoang Viet's musical works are diverse in content, rich in rhythm, deep and passionate in melody, conveying the nation's indomitable fighting spirit determined to regain independence and freedom for the Fatherland, while also revealing the passionate love of life and people of the Vietnamese people.
The Siren in the Night Dew, Green Leaves, Up to the Mountains, Ripe Rice Season, Forest Music, Love Songs … are songs that have been associated with many generations, accompanying the people and the country throughout the journey of defending and building the country, becoming invaluable spiritual assets of the Vietnamese people.

With such great contributions, in 1985, a street in Ho Chi Minh City was named after artist Hoang Viet. In 1996, artist Hoang Viet was posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize by the State; in 2011, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
The art program Love Songs for Everyone was elaborately performed, with many emotional levels, evoking many emotions in the audience about a time when the country was in turmoil; the whole army and people united to fight the enemy, for national independence and freedom.
