Lam Dong Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch is one of the typical units when in the period of 2021-2025, it supported more than 17,000 households to borrow capital with a total amount of nearly 27,800 billion VND, contributing to creating jobs for nearly 30,900 workers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thu, Deputy Director of the Branch, said that the loan policy following the “For the Poor” movement is a fulcrum for the poor to have the motivation to overcome difficulties to escape poverty. From farmers accessing preferential capital to increase production, from students receiving loans to go to school, especially pushing back black credit in rural and remote areas. Therefore, the bank always ensures synchronization in policy credit activities; sends bank staff to participate in neighborhood meetings to propagate so that people understand preferential policies; guides people on capital management...

In Ninh Thuan , the aloe vera production project linked to the value chain of Son Phat Cooperative, managed by Mr. Thanh Lai Chu, has done something special. The model lasted 2 years (from January 2023 to November 2024), with an investment of more than 1.9 billion VND, applying the production process according to VietGAP standards, combined with a water-saving irrigation system, thereby creating sustainable livelihoods for 32 Raglai households (including 14 poor households, 17 near-poor households and 1 newly escaped poverty household).

Mr. Thanh Lai Chu added that the local population is mainly ethnic minorities, who have not yet accessed new production models. Therefore, when Son Phat Cooperative developed stably with the aloe vera export project linked to the value chain, he and the local government invited companies to survey the land and mobilized people to produce according to this model. Currently, each participating household earns an average profit of nearly 90 million VND/year. The model also contributes to changing the crop structure, creating jobs for 300 local workers and reducing the poverty rate.

Originating from the hearts of farmers in Dinh Yen commune, the model "Charity House Building Team No. 02" in An Binh hamlet, Dinh Yen commune, Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province has become a bright spot in the movement to help the poor stabilize their housing and settle down.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tu said that since 1983, he and other farmers in the village have contributed to building bridges and roads. In 1995, they formed “Charity House Building Group No. 01” to build houses for people from trees. However, because houses built from trees do not last long, in 2010, these farmers planned to build prefabricated houses for the poor in the area and then build brick houses with cement walls.

In 2016, “Charity House Building Team No. 02” was established. During the years of building houses for the poor, there were cases where members of the team had to take care of their own meals, and even had to take care of the meals for the homeowner.

“If they are in too much trouble and cannot support me, I will take care of them in return. If I can help people in unfortunate circumstances have a warm house, they will be happy and I will be happy too. That joy touches my heart, that is the motivation,” Mr. Tu confided.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said that, implementing Decision 90/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025 and responding to the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind", in recent times, ministries, branches, socio-political organizations, People's Committees of provinces and cities, economic, social, professional organizations, businesses and people have actively deployed and concretized the movement, considering this a key and regular task.
