The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day; towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that along with the system of press agencies nationwide, Hai Phong City currently has 3 city press agencies and 56 representative offices and resident reporters of central and provincial press agencies.

Along with the city's development, press agencies always play an important and effective role as a bridge of information, guiding public opinion and spreading positive values.
Thereby, contributing to promoting the city and the cause of socio -economic development in general, promoting the values of cultural heritage, historical relics, and developing tourism in Hai Phong in particular.

In particular, Mr. Cuong assessed that the press in the city has stepped up propaganda about key tasks and solutions to spread the values of cultural heritage, about the spiritual and cultural life of the land, the friendly and hospitable people of Hai Phong, developing cultural heritage values into diversified tourism products.
At the forum, Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City, said that Hai Phong has many advantages in tourism and culture, with many famous landscapes, a dense system of relics and heritages, and unique festivals... The cultural industries of Hai Phong City are determined according to the general development orientation of Vietnam.

However, Hai Phong also identifies cultural industries with advantages to focus on building and implementing a number of breakthrough tasks, key cultural products, forming a chain of unique and attractive art viewing locations; widely promoting products, building the appearance and cultural symbols typical of cultural industry products.
In that flow, with a large number of press agencies and a team of local correspondents, the press is a part of the cultural industry. According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, the press is both a part of the creative chain and a channel for transmitting multi-dimensional impacts in creative activities of the cultural industry.

"For Hai Phong City, press agencies are truly the main information channel, playing an important role in conveying the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the fields of tourism, heritage and cultural industry to the people and businesses. Besides, in the face of the current situation of toxic media, the press always plays a role in leading information and protecting a healthy digital cultural space," said Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai.
At the forum, delegates listened to the dialogue between the press, businesses and management agencies. Opinions raised challenges for the press, especially issues of digital media, social network development, press economics and advertising in the press.

Mr. Le Hai Binh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, acknowledged that Vietnam has a large number of digital creators, this is a source of pride for Vietnam and the press needs to "take advantage" of this to develop with the cultural industry.
Meanwhile, journalist Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that in this era, in addition to the task of propaganda, the press also produces cultural products, through the organization of cultural events; which Nhan Dan Newspaper has recently identified as a task that has been promoted and received the response of the people. In addition, the scale and creativity are getting bigger and bigger, the impacts from the orientation are getting bigger, these are the tools that the press has in hand.
The speakers at the dialogue shared the hope that the press will have many innovations in the digital age, together with the cultural industry to develop the country.
