The heritage space became vibrant with the captivating rhythms of DJ 2pillz, leading the audience on an energetic musical journey. Immediately after, the surprise and pride were felt when 8 Xam singers from the ancient capital of Ninh Binh and the talented beatbox artist Trung Bao appeared. The audience witnessed an impromptu and respectful dialogue with Xam - a precious heritage of the ancient capital of Ninh Binh.
The Xam singing club named Ha Thi Cau was established in Yen Phong commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh, chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Man (daughter of the late artist Ha Thi Cau). The art of Xam singing in Ninh Binh has been included in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2021 and is aiming to build a dossier to submit to UNESCO for inscription on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding of Humanity.
This is not just a simple embellishment of traditional elements, but also an effort to revive and put a new coat on Xam, placing the heritage in a contemporary space for it to speak. That is also the way that "Forestival" 2025 sends a greeting starting from what is most familiar in the flesh and blood of the children of Ninh Binh , the children of Vietnam.
The "Forestival" 2025 music night created a multi-layered emotional journey, woven from a deliberate and captivating performance order. The musical flow continued with Hoang Dung's stories about the ups and downs of youth, t'linh's unique rap and R&B colors, and Vu's heartfelt, rustic music, before the space exploded with the rock energy of Chillies Band.
The audience was immersed in the intelligent and changing musical world of Vu Cat Tuong, then calmed down with the stories told through the melodies of Phan Manh Quynh. Quang Hung MasterD added a youthful and fresh color, then everyone was sublimated with the "poetry" of Den and ended with the emotional voice of Ha Anh Tuan.
"Forestival" 2025 is led by Music Director Nguyen Huu Vuong, Crystal Band and two talented backing groups Cadillac and VK.
In particular, on behalf of the organizers and artists, singer Ha Anh Tuan announced that all artists and audiences of "Forestival" 2025 will contribute 500 million VND to Save Vietnam's Wildlife for the purpose of repopulating and protecting the Delacour's Langur.
“Forestival” 2025 is the first program to implement the project of bringing 1,000 audiences and artists to respectfully sow green seeds of hope at Cuc Phuong National Park with the companionship and support of Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, Trang An Investment, Trade and Service Company Limited, Cuc Phuong National Park Management Board. By combining art, love of nature, respect for heritage and responsibility to the community, “Forestival” 2025 is sowing the seeds for a rich and sustainable cultural heritage.
