Flights to Da Nang increase sharply on April 30 holiday, international flights 3 times more than domestic flights

According to the Danang Airport Operations Center, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Danang International Airport welcomed an average of 262 flights per day.

Including 8 domestic flights and 24 international flights from Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia...

Notably, a number of new flight routes have been established connecting Da Nang with India, Kazakhstan...

During this holiday period (from April 28 to May 4), the number of daily flights increased by about 17% compared to the same period in 2024.

International flights and some domestic flights to Da Nang use wide-body aircraft such as B787, A350, A330, contributing to increasing passenger transport volume to the city during the holidays.

Notably, while the number of international and domestic flights to Da Nang during the 2024 holiday was the same, this year the number of domestic flights increased by more than 1.5 times compared to international flights.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, inbound manager of a travel company in Da Nang, said that this year's 5-day April 30 holiday coincides with a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, so many people tend to travel far away.

"The number of domestic tourists to Da Nang this year is not only concentrated in the Central provinces, but also recorded a significant increase from both ends of the country.

In particular, the number of tourists traveling in groups has increased dramatically, especially cross-Vietnam tours combined with attending the 50th anniversary of national reunification" - Mr. Tam shared.

During this holiday, Da Nang also opened the 2025 Beach Tourism Season program with more than 18 special activities at the central beaches and Son Tra peninsula.

Continuous activities such as: sea swimming competition, SUP Danang Color Race, beach model decoration, sea sports festival, sea sports performance and sailing performance... contribute to attracting a large number of tourists to Da Nang.

Visitors to Son Tra Peninsula increased by more than 10%

The holiday season falls in hot weather, so many people choose to have fun at Son Tra Peninsula. According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, it is estimated that from April 30 to May 3, this area welcomed about 29,000 visitors, an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2024.

Visitors mainly concentrate on routes and points such as: Yet Kieu - Ban Co peak, Linh Ung pagoda and inland waterway areas along the peninsula.

At central beaches such as My Khe, My An, Phuoc My, Man Thai... the number of visitors is very large, especially every afternoon.
