On the morning of October 13th, The Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper organized a talk show titled "Entrepreneurs Accompanying the Development of Ho Chi Minh City and the Whole Country," as part of a series of programs celebrating the 21st anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13th, with the overarching theme being "Vietnamese Entrepreneurs - Aspirations and Actions."
The "6-in-1" model for those with genuine housing needs.
At the program, Dr. Le Nhu Thach - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bcons Group, lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - shared his journey from leaving his hometown to study and build a career in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Thach said he once dreamed of becoming a civil engineer and applied to the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Upon graduation, he was retained by the university as a lecturer. He now teaches at the same university while also being a businessman.

Based on his personal experience, Mr. Thach realized that owning a home in the city is an unattainable dream for many people due to the high prices. He believes that developing affordable housing is also a way for businesses to demonstrate their social responsibility.
From there, Mr. Thach founded Bcons and conceived the idea of developing affordable housing, giving people the opportunity to settle down and build a life. Bcons implemented a "6-in-1" model – self-design, construction, project management, sales, after-sales management, and operation – to reduce intermediary costs and lower product prices. As a result, to date, the company has put into operation more than 15,000 apartments, mostly for people with real housing needs.
"We focus on developing moderately sized, fully equipped apartments at reasonable prices, so that young people can afford to buy a home. The more people have a place to live, the more stable and sustainable society will become," commented Dr. Le Nhu Thach.
Sustainable development for society
Ms. Ngo Bich Quyen, CEO of Van Son Thinh Phat JSC (owner of the Organicfood brand), believes that in the context of economic development, Vietnamese consumers are becoming increasingly conscious, not only concerned about product quality but also paying attention to what businesses have contributed to society and the environment.
According to Ms. Quyen, developing organic products brings dual benefits: creating economic value while protecting the soil, water, and people's health, moving towards green and sustainable agriculture .

To obtain organic certification, businesses must make long-term investments and comply with international standards such as USDA (USA), EU Organic (Europe), or Vietnamese certification.
Ms. Quyen stated that programs like Fairtrade help ensure farmers' rights, as a portion of the profits from each product sold is used to support them.
"Today's businesses are not only focused on profit but also on creating jobs, ensuring the health of workers, and contributing to sustainable social development," Ms. Quyen emphasized.

Businesspeople shared their insights at the Talkshow "Businesspeople accompanying the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country" organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of October 13th.
Social responsibility
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung, Chairman and General Director of Vina T&T Group , the development of the enterprise is always linked to social responsibility, especially in the field of agricultural exports.
Mr. Tung stated that each container of goods from Vina T&T represents not only revenue but also the fruits of thousands of farmers' labor after a year of cultivation.

Therefore, businesses always guide farmers to produce high-quality, safe products for export to demanding markets such as the US and Australia, helping them earn a stable income and reinvest in the next crop.
Mr. Tung also recalled the COVID-19 pandemic period, when agricultural products were stockpiled, Vina T&T coordinated with relevant units to directly purchase and freeze the goods, awaiting export after the pandemic.
"Although it's very difficult, it's a responsibility we can't avoid. Businesses only truly thrive when they develop together with the community and farmers," Mr. Tung emphasized.
