Departing from Cat Lai port (HCMC), the working group of 100 leaders and reporters representing press agencies and journalist associations across the country began a 7-day voyage (from May 23 to 29) towards the outpost islands in Truong Sa archipelago - the forefront of the Fatherland.

Leading the delegation was journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper , Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association .
Speaking during the trip, journalist Le Quoc Minh said: "This is the first time the Vietnam Journalists Association has organized such a large-scale visit, with the participation of 100 leaders and reporters from press agencies nationwide. During this journey, I launched an emulation movement with the theme "Solidarity, loyalty, achievements, victory", to demonstrate the determination to excellently complete the task. This is not only a visit, this journey also has profound political and social significance, demonstrating the spirit of "all towards the beloved sea and islands of the Fatherland".

During the 7-day trip, the delegation visited the islands of Da Thi, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Len Dao, Da Tay A, Truong Sa and DK1 platform. At each destination, the journalists not only visited and encouraged but also participated in many meaningful activities such as cultural exchanges, flag salutes, military review, incense offering at spiritual sites, and commemoration of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.
Under the dawn light, naval soldiers and 100 journalists attended the Memorial Service for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Truong Sa archipelago, solemnly held on the deck of ship KN-290.

Not only was it a visit, it was also an inspiring creative journey. The journalists organized many activities such as: the "Higreen for a green Truong Sa" cross-country race in response to the campaign to plant 1 million trees on Truong Sa archipelago, a tug-of-war competition, a competition to learn about the 70-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Navy, a writing competition, composing new works about Truong Sa, DK1 Platform and a literature and art competition.
Thai Nguyen province's art troupe brought songs and voices to serve the army and people on the islands, leaving many deep impressions.

From real experiences, hundreds of articles, poems, prose, and animations were born. Hundreds of thousands of photos and clips recorded moments imbued with military-civilian love, images of bravely affirming the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.
Through sharp pens and excellent artists, the spirit of patriotism and pride in the indomitable will of the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island will be strongly spread to all parts of the country.

The trip was not only a meaningful journey, arousing sacred emotions and pride in every Vietnamese person, but also an opportunity to strongly spread love for the homeland and country - especially for journalists. The event became even more meaningful when it took place right before the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
During the working trip, the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nhan Dan Newspaper and units: Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Vnexpress Electronic Newspaper , Vietnamnet Newspaper , Voice of Vietnam Radio, Vietnam News Agency, Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, Capital Women Newspaper, Today's Rural Newspaper, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Vietnam Tobacco Corporation, press units, Provincial Journalists Associations, and enterprises supported 1.7 billion VND to the Navy to build CQ-01 boats and presented other practical gifts worth nearly 1 billion VND to officers, soldiers, and people on the islands.
